Our Philosophy
Commerce
We are in the cattle breeding business as a family enterprise, to make profit. Our business is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. As drivers of change in the beef industry, we adopt global best practices in animal management and welfare, while incorporating time-tested traditional practices, with the sole objective of creating efficient and data driven management systems.
Conservation
We see ourselves as custodians of the land we work on. By practicing regenerative agriculture, our actions and inactions ensure the over 20 hectares (50 acres) under our care is neither degraded nor deforested. Rotational grazing improves the quality of the soil and helps prevent soil erosion. The use of chemicals, either as fertiliser or pesticides, is avoided, while all water sources are protected from contamination, especially through leaching.
Community
We consider our people our greatest assets. Our business has created an ecosystem where people, be they workers, vendors, or veterinarians, or just the local farmer looking for a market for his grains, find fulfilment being part of something grand. Everyone that comes in contact with Kamrum Farms immediately grabs the vision and runs with it.
